I've never seen a dye that goes lighter and work good. You will probably have to paint the metal and plastic, and reupholster the material. I bought my interior paint from the same supplier I get my regular automotive paint from.

He's right. Dying materials lighter is difficult at best. If you are set in doing that, I'd check with an upholstery shop about having it done professionally. The painting is another issue as once the metal areas are primered, lighter colors will work. You also have the headliner to do, don't forget. Dying the plastic lighter will also be difficult to get right.

Whatever color you go with you can get laquer paints (interior and exterior), dyes and dye preps that match original ford colors from 1964-1973 at www.cal-mustang.com.

I agree with those guys. Dying light colors never turns out good for me. I don't think grey would look right in a mav anyways. I just did my comet's interior in black today and it turned out pretty good. The only thing i didn't paint is the front seats which i got covers for. I even spray painted the rug with regular spray paint (yea i am a cheap bastard)
