... and a whole bunch of other 60s and 70s drag cars in a video collage.

Charlie Gilcrest photos from the era. I recognize the name, and he probably had stuff in multiple magazines if I have it right.

All set to Jeff Beck music off an album I can highly recommend too. :thumbs2:

Fun way to spend 4 minutes.

Nice!.. man that was a trip back in time. Thanks for sharing.

I try to stay away from youtube if I can help it for fear of getting sucked into it's small planet-like gravitational pull. lol

I saw the Gapp & Roush Maverick in the middle of the vid and remembered their Pinto's and the big Tijuana Taxi rule controversy. Good old grass roots run at the big dogs mixed with some ingenuity, right there. I remember seeing them race Glidden for the championship in maybe 76?(might have just been a rerun too).. and even at that younger age I was glued to the TV. I should google it and try to watch it again. I'd also like to see that Grumpy Jenkins race too.

Makes me miss the old days and want to push for extra trips to the strip with the kids this year. Feels good to keep the traditions alive while you enjoy time with your loved ones and the boys go so nuts for the wheelstanders and the rockets it cracks me up. Sometimes it's all about the little things. :)
