exhaust exit. where does your exhaust exit your car? Looking for input or pictures. I posted this in "cosmetic" cause thats what I am concerned with Thanks, John
Mine turn down in front of the rear axle. Later I will probably have some over the axle pipes made and dump them behind the tires....
Dans tips look really good. I have some nice stainless slant tips that are like a pipe inside of a pipe. Pretty cool in theory, but you cant see it as well as I thought you might. However it does help make the exhaust look better if you park near a supercharged Boss 5.4 F-150. On something as radical as yours, I would do a system that is radical too, Using mufflers with in and out on the same side, and U bend with a tight radius, plus an x-pipe, You could set up a pretty wild exhaust with side exits.
Is there any major downside to having them end before the axles (no tips visible), or even come over the axles, but not exit out the back of the car?
I originally planned on using the same tips as Dan has, just never got around to finishing it out. I want to customize my valance panel similar to the 70 Mach I with the cutouts before I run my tail pipes. I guess I'll get around to it some day. I like the one jmg has too. Right now, all I have is the turndowns in front of the axle. Biggest problem there is the dust and it only bothers me at car shows. I don't like stirring dust up when I enter or leave.
heres my delima.....I really don't want turn downs cause they stir up dust (remembering the cruise-in we went to in New Castle) but running out the back is a stickler cause they must stay snug to the valance (for me). Might look into the set-up Fish posted.....I have some 90* 3" pipe that I could run, that would dump it straight out the car in front of the rear tires. Thanks a bunch for all the pics and info. I guess time will tell.
