In the 60's ford had these kick ass engine desplacement emblems and valve cover decals that they put on the Galaxies. They were basically an "eagle" of sorts, usually with 406 or 427 in the center. I would LOVE to put a couple under the MAVERICK fender emblems on my car, but of course I don't have a 406 or aq 427 under the hood. Does anyone know of a reproduction sticker or emblem WITHOUT the engine displacement? I've seen a jacket patch of the eagle with FORD in the middle on ebay, but it's kinda hard to stitch a patch to sheet metal if you get my drift. Any ideas?
Can't say I have seen exactly what you want but I have seen a lot of different emblems in the backs of magazines like Dennis Carpenter, LMC, NPD and such. clint
They were for the FE series engines. 352, 360, 390, 406, 427 and 428. Never seen one without the size though.
I've got a 460 one on a shelf in my bedroom, I don't think it was ever put on a Ford from the factory but, it's cool. I'm not sure if they made any like that hat though, I think I've seen some with 302 and 351 in the center in an autokrafters catalog around here.
I just checked autokrafters but I couldn't find anything. If it had 302 or 289 in the center I'd be cool with that too.... the hunt continues.
A friend of mine had some made to go on his doors at a local printing shop. Same size as the ones Crites sale but 1/3 the cost Wrong link, http://www.critesrestoration.com/
