emblems

    Two emblem questions:
    1. I just noticed today that my Maverick emblems in my stash have two different varieties, one with the V blacked out and one not. This was even on NOS ones. Any rhyme or reason? certain years? Grabbers?

    2. Can you find Mercury emblems('74 Comet) on the trunk lid and the crest on the hood on any other Mercury vehicles?

    1972 Maverick Grabber - Color: Orange Also, 1976 Ford Maverick 4-door, 1977 Mercury Comet 2-door.
    1. I am pretty sure all the emblems should have the blacked out V area. Maybe you got a hold of some that had not been painted yet. Or maybe they were supposed to be painted by the dealer.

    2. The Mercury emblem on the trunk would be specific to a 2-door or 4-door I would imagine...since it is beveled to fit on the trunk lid. But maybe it does work on other cars as well. Don't know for sure.

    Anyone else have any other thoughts on the mercury emblems on the hood and trunk lid? It would be for a four door.
