Emergency brake handle flapper spring

    I am in dire need of a spring for the Emergency brake handle flapper that applies tension to keep the flapper (locking device) down into the groves of the emergency brake handle. Thank you.

    rthomas, I thank you, part is on order. I haven't heard of Melvins Classic Ford Parts, they are super easy to order from too. Again, I thank you. It is actually a parking brake ratchet pawl spring, who knew.

    What page did you find that part on? Is there a picture? My car doesn't have a spring for that.

    Hmmm, I really don't think my car has that spring but everything works fine... Thanks for finding the picture!

    John, you're right, it does/will still work without the spring...it's sloppy without it though.

    This is for the hand style emergency brake handle, not the foot style.
