i am thinken about it? it would seem out of place to have a blue engine in a orange and black car? an orange block, heads with blk so cal finned valv covers would look nice.i wish i could find a pic?

Most cars and engines that are color matched and clean look great. If your happy with your color choice go for it. I have shot engines with left over body color and it has worked out well. Good luck!

People used to get on my case because my engine is red, then I explain that it's Ford Thunderbird Red and that seems to smooth things over.

My engine was sprayed with the body color, and its OK... but I would stick with a good high temp engine paint. I don't know how hard it will be to match the color you use to paint the car. Personally, I would prefer seeing a blue block with aluminum heads. But it don't even make much difference in these little engine bays. The valve covers manifold and accessories take up 90% of what you see unless you eliminate the shock towers.:tiphat:

How about Black block and silver and Hemi orange finned valve covers.
I'm doing something similar on my Impala.
