This is mine setup. Not to bad but will have to spend a little for small things. Pulled the heads off a buddy cobra with 75k miles. http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=19593000

Budget= 8yr.old, 15yr old, and a soon to graduate, college bound 17yr old!!!! plus a wife and a dog!!!!! That's my budget restraints!!!
To hop up a stock 302 on a budget...I would install a late '70's stock 351 Windsor camshaft,4 bbl. cylinder heads.a factory 2 bbl or aftermaket carb.If you go with a 4bbl. you'll have to go with a 302 intake....the Windsor is much wider.Equip the motor with a open air breather and a free flowing exhaust system. The Dura-spark ignition seems to fair pretty good, but you be the judge and dress up the motor to your budget.....
Yeah!! Now that's the info I was looking for!! I don't wanna win races, just wanna sound and look good. And maybe peel the tires every now and then. Thanks , Darrel
Sounds good Streetrod! Anyone familiar with putting 289 heads on a 302? I understand this will up the compression. But I also know that anytime you gain one thing you sacrifice something else! Any info would be greatly appreciated. Darrel
