engine clearances

    i have 88 302 efi h.o engine and would like to know the clearances for main and rod I plan on running the motor on the strip occassionally but mainly i will drive it on the street maybe some nos but a little not no massive amounts of it.:dance:

    I like to run .0020-.0025 on the mains and rods, except the #1 main I try to get closer to .0015 for better oil pressure. I'm sure others here will have their own specs.

    this is kinda off topic but would clearences be different if your running n2o or turbo/s/c?

    Can't comment on the turbo or s/c applications but the above is what I ran in my old N2O motor. Bearings generally like more clearance for more rpm, open up the clearances for sustained high rpm and you should consider running a HV oil pump and a bigger pan.
