The big ugly brackets on the side of the engine, bolted through the exhaust manifold. Is it ok to remove? They really in the way. But one bolt in each side is too long to back out. It hits the wheel well and I think I’d have to cut the bolt and install a smaller size to replace the bolt. Short of lifting the engine. What’s the best thing to do with those brackets?

You can lose them if you want. Plenty of other ways and locations to lift it later on if needed. Do as you said cut and run shorter bolts to fill the vacant holes again.

Get rid of them. You don't need shorter bolts.

Thanks for the replies. It’ll look a lot nicer and have easier access with those out of the way.
