Don't get me wrong folks. I love my husband like no one else, but there are times when I just want to kick his a** with a steel tip boot. Like right now. I don't know how many times I have told him when he's spraying epoxy primer near a painted car to either cover the car up or spray the parts outside and shut the garage doors so the wind doesn't blow the overspray back in the garage. I might as well be talking to a wall. At some point in time he sprayed some fenders outside and did not close the garage doors. Guess what was sitting in the garage? Our Stallion, all waxed up and ready to leave for Carlisle tomorrow. The wind blew the overspray back in the garage and almost the whole car is covered with epoxy primer overspray and that stuff does not wipe off. I'm going to have to spend the whole friggen day washing the car down with paint solvent to get that damn stuff off. I had to get away from it for a while before I wrung his neck. :banghead: So let this be a lesson to anybody who uses the epoxy primers. DO NOT spray it near a painted car unless the car is completely covered up or get the car up wind from the overspray if you spray outside. Sorry for the ranting, but I had to get this off my chest before I explode.:cussing:  I just punched out the basement door, so I feel a little better now. I guess I'll go scrub the car down somemore.

    Over spray

Try using a clay bar first...works wonders on over spray and
will not harm the paint underneath.

Sorry to hear that Jean. When you run a body shop like you and I do that kind of thing happens every now and then. It's just unfortunate that it happened to your Stallion. I keep my blue car here at my shop and stupidly left the cover off one day. Three stalls away and it still got some epoxy primer overspray on it. That's definitely the worst kind of overspray you can get. Even the Clay-Magic doesn't work very well on it. Luckily for me I had not wet sannded and buffed it yet so I just had to hurry up and do it. Anyway, I wish you well and hopefully you'll get the car to Carlisle looking as good as ever. (y)

And take it easy on the hubby...you and I both know he didn't mean to do it. That's a beautiful car and nobody in their right mind would do anything to mess it up. Hope you have a great weekend.
