you're probably going to have to replace it. never had any luck trying to fix them.

    Header?

Why not look at replacing it with a header. I just ordered a single outlet header for my 250 Maverick. I found some very good prices on the web at www.mustangsunlimited.com. Just put 250 headrers in the search box

I never had luck repairing a cracked manifold either. Taking them off can also create more work when studs break etc.. but that's pretty much expected.

I could be wrong but I thought I read that the outlet is at a different angle for a Mustang header and would require a wild bend.. :hmmm:

The best way to fix any cracked cast iron or steel part is oven brazing. It takes special equipment but in essence the whole part is placed in a high temp oven and the crack is closed using a brass, bronze or silver brazing compound depending on the levels of stress on the part. The repair is strong and has more flexibility than welding. Since the whole part is heated there is very little stress caused by the repair. It is not cheap but it will last longer than the original part.
