I'm sure the system would be great if it fits right, i know from use that summit racing parts are almost every bit as good as specialized brand parts and I wouldnt hesitate it if it would fit right, but im more of cheap pipes and glasspacks kinda guy. ha. And yea you can do pretty much the whole exhaust with the clamps and it would hold up good, although i'd say its always better to weld it if you can. theres always a chance of a connecting point not sealing up tight enough and getting an exhaust leak, or a clamp wiggling loose somehow, which could be avoided if they were welded.

I guess its a matter of preference, but personally I had an all summit racing exhaust and Idid not like it one bit. It turned out to be louder and I had it welded because I did not want to deal with loose clamps.
My car is intended to be a daily driver and after a little while that loud exhaust gets annoying.
Again, been an old fart (45) plays a lot in to it.
But if I was to advice you, I would say regarless of what type or brand you use, Have welded. My 2 cents

I put this kit on my Falcon. The Mustang is shorter from the axle to bumper so you will need exhaust tips to extend the pipes past the bumper. You will want the pipes welded or they will leak.
