I have a low mile 72 Grabber with stock 302 2V. I am wanting to add dual exhaust. Aftermarket but look as stock as possible. Searched on here for suggestions but too many posts to search and didn't find any clear answers. Flowmasters Super 40, Magnaflows, Cherrybombs??? Not crazy loud..just good sound and look close to stock. Opinions??

Flowmaster 3 chambers will do it for you. We got them on 5 cars here in Florida and they each have a distinct sound of their own which varies slightly in accordance with the different engines such as 5.0 s , 331's 408s , 427's .
    Great sound .

I like Magnaflows, they are nice and quiet. Any good exhaust shop, and fix you up.

I second the Magnaflows. Nice and quite...until you stick your foot in it. Flowmasters are just too loud for my taste.

You can see pictures of my exhaust on my website (1972 Grabber)

I had 3-chamber Magnaflows installed and had to replace them. There was a resonance inside the car at about 50 MPH that was really annoying. Replaced them with Thrush and they're much better.

Hooker Aerochambers on two of mine, the 89 5.0 is much milder than with the flowmasters I cut off of it, but still has the five-oh sound. The Ranchero has a nice mellow rumble (351 2v , bone stock)
The 69 Stang has Summit race mufflers, nice aggressive sound, without being too loud(392ci 9.8:1 cr). A lot of the sound depends on the motor. The Mav. Is getting the Hookers(when I get back to it)

My buddy recommended Thrush welded mufflers. Anyone help with in/outlet sizes, offsets, pipe sizes. Thanks in advance

I have 2 1/4" on one car, give's you a little bit more room, for bends and fitment. Then I have 2 1/2" on another car. Different mufflers on both cars, they both sound totally different.

If you want quiet(stock), good turbo mufflers are a good choice as well. My pipes are 2.5" ahead of the muffler and 2.25" after.

I once had Flowmaster 40's on my F100 and got real tired real fast of them. Cut them off and put on some Hooker Aerochambers. Now that is the sound I always wanted. Love them and get compliments all of the time on them.
