factory floor shift location

    I was wondering if the factory floor shift is off to the side one way or is it in the middle of the trans hump. someone converted mine and its way off to the left. i understand why but i wanted to build a console around it and thought it would look better in the center.

    thats what i thought.. what would be the process of that? and is it even worth it?
