Hello admins, My name is Nate and am from Duluth MN. It is hard to find any older vehicle that isn't rotten to the core up here. My brother and I came across a 77 Mav and traded a caged 25th anniversary fox body roller straight up. He got a great deal, but, I don't like mustangs. Mavericks are essentially their own make and model to me so I had to have it. It looked solid and straight as an arrow at first sight, then I started taking it apart. It has rot in the oddest of places, but true blue were it needs to be. Panels and trim are much needed and am trying to figure out a bumper combination. There is a ton to do on this car. It was a kids project car, and a learning tool for him. You forget how you do things when you are soo inexperienced. But this kid really took the cake here. 7" grinder to the driver door/ deck lid to remove paint???? Ugh. I had to save the ugly old fella. So now It now sits in the back yard taken apart the correct way searching for rust and paint prep. Not sure sure what to do about a power plant just yet. The 250-6 is a low mileage great runner. Idk what to do with it. Anyone looking for one???
Welcome to the forum. I'm about an hour and a half away from you. By Grand Rapids. I have the bumpers off of my 74 that are in mint shape that I would sell cheap if you're interested in sticking with the big bumpers.
