Why does Hooker list a FE engine header to fit a maverick? Do those engines actually fit? Also does any one know, are the spark plugs and header bolts as hard to get at on a 351W as a 351C in a Mav? I have a 351C in mine and am planning on a 351W,to get away from the tight shock towers.Thanks. :D

I have had a few FE's in my time. I love um,,,, but I WOULD
not want one in a Mav/Comet. Too much fabrication to make
it all work. Probably best to think in terms of a stroker if you
are after horsepower. Just my opinion.

i can tell you that there is not a lot of room in a 351w in a maverick. changing plugs is not a job i look forward too. and it's coming pretty soon.:(

ID SAY CHANGING PLUGS IN A WINDSOR WOULD BE EASYER THAN CLEAVLAND.ARNT THE HEADS ON A CLEAVLAND WIDER.JUST A THOUGHT.I LIKE THE STROKER IDEA 427 WINDSOR THAT BE SWEET.

killercomet,I think the strocker windsor is a great idea,I just pulled out a 351c and vowed never to fight headers or spark plugs like that again:mad: The c heads are wider but the windsor deck height is taller, thus making the engine wider.Well maybe I should stick with a strocker 302.
