As I took the passenger side fender of the Maverick today, I noticed a piece of sheetmetal jammed inside the back of it. "Oh no" I thought to myself as I realized that this means BONDO, and plenty of it. I am going toattach a picture of the rusted out area later, the inner support piece appears to be in good shape, just the outer skin rusted from all the crap buildup in there. Can this be fixed with a patch panel, or am I better off finding another fender?

Sure it can be fixed. We just repaired one our spare fenders that was rusted through in the same place. We just cut out the rotten metal and welded in new sheet metal.

Jean speaks wisdom. That is as easy a fix as there is. If the back is still good the outboard sheetmetal is a no brainer. And according to Mavaholic, I am a wiz at them.
