Has anyone installed rear fender well flares? Also, can anyone direct to a vendor which sells them or produces them. I need a set of rear flares for my 73 Maverick 2dr.

If anyone can offer assistance; please contact me at: rjs281@aol.com

    thanks in advance.

I don't think anyone makes them, anymore. Maybe in the 70's?, they were more common, you could say, they kinda lost their "Flare" in the last 30 years. :rofl2:

Hello Bob...I see you found your way over here.

I don't think anybody makes any wheel flares. I have never seen them before.

Eastwood makes a tool to stretch the fender wells to give a bit of flare.
Are you just wanting to avoid of fix a tire rub problem, or are you wanting to radically change the contours?

If you want to do the latter you will have to do it yourself or pay a good custom shop for that. IMHO.:)

if ur going with a larger wheel base i wood say its a neccessity, there are many ways to do it but my favourite technique wood be the cut and weld one where u cut along the contour of the fender well where u wood usually see the grabber stripes running on it above the wheel, then fab up some pieces tht bow the contour out more, weld tht, then fab a lip to weld to the tip of tht first fabricated piece so tht its not an edge but a flat piece on the bottom.[IMG] i no this is a super racecar and all but this is the finishd product. it give a great curve to the body of the car.
