Anyone live that damned far north??? Personally, I think it's too far to go for a drag race but since I'm in this little old championship chase I reckon I'll have to go. We will have a language arts class on Saturday night after qualifying. "Southern As A Second Language-101". Bring your coolers and prepare to make fun of the yankees. :evilsmile
i watched a little bit of it on the internet. saw a maverick. then got a shock. thought i saw a chevy II. figured it must be a falcon with the square tail lights. but then the announcer said it was a 65 nova with a ford engine. thought all cars had to be ford bodies and ford engines.
Drove and won with another Shelby GT-H. If I knew winning was this much fun I'd have done it sooner. The Chevy II was allowed in due to us running the race as a one day deal. Plus....it was kinda cool. Years ago they allowed a Pro Gas Corvette from B&G Machine in Alvin, TX. It had a 512" BBF and hauled ass.
Looks like your having to much fun with the Shelby's. Maybe you will get another call. Better yet they should just give you one!
I'm not quitting my day job. It's too much fun and pays too well. Looks like I have to either win one, have one given to me, or buy one for next season. Seems the class sponsor is now a bit tired of seeing the rental cars winning. Either that or they're catching flack from the rental car companies.
there was one at firebird saturday night. didn't see it run though. sure looked pretty. i got mail from ford yesterday that says they'll give me $500 off a new mustang.that's the only part of the new mustang i can afford.
$500 discount??? My, are they being generous or what It would cost that much to drive to and from the car lot just to pick it up.
