Wow, I just had mine filled at $ 8.50/lb. Guy told me since the Gov't put it under Dangerous Goods that almost everyone stopped carrying it. AND I had to travel 120 miles each way on top. But.....I am still happy. I will be at a test and tune this week-end(weather permitting) and will get my first learning experience at driving my Mav. Hopefully will have times and pics soon after.....Paul

The most expensive i've seen it around here was $5.00/lb and that was many years ago. Most people are selling it in my area for $3.50/lb. but i'm trying to get a client base so i'm selling it cheap for the first little bit !!

ahh the power of business.....and supply and demand.....you should consider going mobile....and take it to the track....i am not sure what licensing you need but that would be so convenient....then you could up the prices even further and make some serious cash...

good luck..i dont know the price of NOS out here...i dont run it.................yet!

I'm curious about how much nitrous do you guys use at a typical day at the track? I'm trying to figure how much nitrous costs.

Nitrous has always been referred to as the cheapest way to make good power, depending on how much power you want to make is when it starts to get expensive. A basic kit is about $250-$500 and I sell nitrous for $2.50/lb so it costs $25.00 to fill a 10 lb. bottle.

A small shot, which is most likely what you'll be using, will not use a bottle real fast. It goes much quicker if you're out street racing than it does if you're at the track, IMO. Me and my brother used to street race alot and he was spraying a 150 shot, we would go through about 2 bottles per weekend.

Yea, I had thought about going mobile but i'll have to wait until I get an enclosed trailer so I can take my compressor and all the other equipment you need to fill bottles.

You do freeze your bottles before you fill them right?
Place here does a bottle for 27 bucks.
    Not to bad.
Just need my own nitrous kit now.

I only put the bottle in a freezer if someone brings it to me hot, repeated freezing of the bottle deteriorates the rubber o-ring in the neck of the bottle.

Never heard of that. But I don't know a lot about nitrous either.
    Thanks for the info
