Took a long break from the world for awhile.. Ended up selling the 70 with the efi and 5 speed to a fella from Daytona Beach named chip from here.. And finally drug the race car back out and started to put it back together.. Gonna freshen up the motor with some freeze plugs and paint and have the torque converter re spooled to about 3800 or so..

wow.. talk about dangling carrots for us gearheads. lol

What stall speed did it run prior.. and what times netted with the old setup?

    Engine spec's?

PS. this would probably be best placed in the drag racing section and I'm guessing someone will eventually move it there anyways. (y)

It'll probably end up in projects since I'm finally after owning the car for 11 years gonna paint it and do the interior as well lol. Well its a 1973 ldo that I've converted to a grabber. It's a .60 over 302, stock bottom with arp bolts, flat top double eye brow pistons, cast closed chamber 289 heads that are decked, ported, big block chevy valves stuffed in them, triple springs, rod guides, and roller rockers, comp 292 cam, torker 289 intake with a 750 double pumper. . The trans is a built c4 with all the goodies expect a shift kit so it will actually last and not grenade on me trying shift harder than it needs to. The stall was supposed to be a 3500 but never stalled more than 2200.. last time I ran the car at the track I had an old pertronix igniter, bad stall and a little too tall of a tire I ran mid 8's at 100 mph with a only a 2.10 60ft. So the stall should make the difference plus it's has a new unilite distributor and MSD to go back on it. The old ignition set up would cause it to break up around 6900 rpms which it don't need to shift till around 7200.
