Finally loaded up and headed to Rockingham last night to run a 1/4 mile track. I figured the 4:56 was too much for the 1/4 mile with my mild engine. I proved myself to be correct. I am satisfied considering what I have done to the car (or haven't done). As usual - a good time was ejoyed by all. There was hardly anyone there. I was really surprised. Could have run 15 times if I had wanted to. Very nice place.

Best time of the night was a 13.646 at 98. I think I pretty much floated the valves from the 1000 foot to the finish. My 60ft times were off by over a full tenth at 2.1 due to a secondary vacuum diaphram that had a hole in it. After I zip tied the secondary to open as a mechanical - my 1/8 mile times were right in line at 8.80 at 80. I guess you could say that my next Benchracing run with a new secondary diaphram could have at least been a solid 13.500:D

Hope everyone had a safe racing weekend.

A number of years ago I ran my Mav with 4.57 gears and experienced the same 13.6 @ 100mph timeslip and tapped the rev limiter around the 1k ft. mark. They were great fun for the street but for the strip a little steep. I changed them to 3.73 and ran high 12's at over 105mph. Much better.Good luck to ya!(y)
