SO YEA I FINALLY GOT MY 71 COMET GT GOING AFTER AUTOKRAFTERS TOOK LIKE 7 MONTHS ON MY PARTS... :naughty: I PUT IN THE NEW GAS TANK AND STRAPS,EDELBROCK CARB, DID PLUGS AND WIRES, NEW BATTERY AND CABLES AND FINALLY A NEW COIL BOOM BOOM BOOM IT FIRED RIGHT UP AFTER SITTING FOR 20 YEARS!!! OH YEA I ALSO ADDED SOME TRACTION BARS.:yahoo::bananaman BUT AS YOU KNOW I HAVE A FEW ISSUES....

1 BEING MY KICKDOWN ROD FOR THE TRANS, I HAD TO MAKE UP MY OWN DEAL TO HOOK IT TO THE CARB AND I DONT KNOW IF I HAVE IT RIGHT OR WHAT IT SEEMS TO SHIFT FUNNY?:hmmm:

2 DOES ANYONE HAVE A SET OF NICE RIMS AND TIRES THEY WANT TO GET RID OF OR ANY SUGESTIONS ON WHERE I CAN GET A GOOD DEAL CAUSE THE ONLY RUST I HAVE ON THE CAR IS THE KEYSTONE RIMS AND THE FRONT TIRES ARE SHOT!!

I have a real nice set of Keystones with like new tires if you want to drive down here and pick them up. Email me directly (see below) if I can help.

Nice looking Comet. The rear tail light panel looks so much better than the Mav. Always liked that Comet look.

Nice looking car. My dad had some chrome wheels on his toyota pickup back in the late 80's he said they got rusty like that and he just sprayed wd-40 on a rag and pollished them like that. but don't spray it on them. Seeing those wheels on that car makes me want some keystones. Good work!

I agree, they do fit a lot better then most I've seen. I think they would clean up very well with a brillo pad.

Great looking car! I even like the front bumper guards. For some reason they just look right on a Comet.
