finally!!!!!!!!!!!!

    well its been two weeks now that my car has been off the road due to a piece of metal rod destroyin two pistons.But theay both came in this mornig and i can get it put back to gether and stod driving my dads truck.And i am puttin the hastings piston rings on all the pistons for better compression,and while its been down i whent ahead had it boared to 40 over.:bananaman

    I'm a little confused here? You say both new pistons came in today,then you go on to say you bored it 40 over.Did you just bore two cylinders 40 or all of them? And if you bored all of them areyou just going to let the other 6 just slap around in the holes? :hmmm:

    "while it was down you bored it .040 over". what was it before? if you bored it .040 over and it was not that way before, then you need all new pistons and rings to match the oversized cylinders now.:huh:

    What they said. If you only bored two, those pistons are going to be slightly heavier, and throw the balance off. :hmmm:

    i had the entire engine tore dowm and had all nwe pistons last two showed up to day had all cylinders bored 40 over while it was down.

    that clears it up. sounded like you only got 2 pistons. that's what i have in my bracket car. 308. good luck with it.:)

    That is what mine is growing up to be...308!!! Let us know how it runs when you get it done. Mine is almost there. Just need a couple last-minute parts...
