just finished my t5 swap on my maverick a big thanks to a local member on here for the transmission crossmember kit! 71gold, curious what you guys are doing for a gas tank i need one and autokrafters sells the tanks but no sending unit which is dumb, my mav is a street strip car with 125 shot of spray thinking about a fuel sell or mabye buy a maverick gas tank and sump it? what do you guys think would be better?
ok so if i search for a thread then want to post the link to the thread, i cant cut and paste the link because it has the search stuff in it. how do i get rid of that search stuff and just post the link to the actual thread?
I love how everyone is doing the t5 setup. congrats How's your connected to the transmission?? The z-bar, cable or hydraulic?? How does it feel?
Remember the 77 tank is bigger than your orginal. Its not a jus a simple pull an plugg. I have a 71 comet. Ive never seen a tank sold for the early models. I jus pulled my old one, cleaned an recoated it, bending up new lines today. I would not lean toward a fuel cell if it was me, but depends on whether its more of a street car or a drag. The 77 will hang a little lower an will show from behind the car if used, and if you already have exhaust on the car they may be in the way, an need longer bolts or straps to make it fit.
that's a price break that auto shops get for buying parts there...i get it at all the auto parts stores... "Franks Auto Repair" http://mmb.maverick.to/attachment.php?attachmentid=55297&stc=1&thumb=1&d=1336649710
Lets say you do a search for "comet" All the threads with "comet" in them are returned by the search. Posting a link to the "search id" URL wont work once the cached search expires. If you want to post a link to the first thread, click on the link and then copy the link to your message. The "highlight=comet" at the end of the url is ok and the link will always work and the word "comet" will be highlighted. If you have any more questions, please let me know
