Finally, it's been apart for the last 3 years. Hopefully the new combo runs well, shooting for low 9's. Dart 412 sbf, 3,850" stroke, 4.125" bore, TFS 240 Highports, 14:1 , .730" solid roller. C-4 with a 6300 stall 8" converter, 4:30 gear with 275's.

Sounds healthy. And considerably more docile than I would expect with that CR and cam. Maybe you have your tune dialed in pretty well with just a touch more than 12 degrees spark advance at idle? lol

I'm actually still fine tuning it, it idles pretty high in gear. The ignition timing is locked out at 28 degrees. The cam duration at .050" is 278 intake and 286 on the exhaust on a 110 lobe separation.

Hey Ray, congrats on getting things going. Sounds good, looks good. Combo more radical than my 427 and I've been 9.37 @ 143. Hope we can get 'em together at the "Creek" in the fall.

It does sound remarkably tame for that level of cam timing.

Very nice! I should have main and head studs arriving tomorrow, then I can start re-assembling mine sometime over the next week or so.

Gary, how much does you car weigh? I kinda regret going with the 412, our 427 has been a 9.52 at 3300lbs in the Cougar. I'm not sure when I'll get it out, I'm try to win another one of these this weekend at the NHRA National Open at Atco this weekend.
