ahhhh nothing beats the sound of a hotrod coming out of storage eh? was out all weekend doing errands around town with the comet....sweeet! hope we get the same weather next weekend. john
Well I won't say it this the first time getting the Comet out, but.. i did .. fnally, get a new muffler put on the Comet this weekend , I can finally drive it and not smell like exaust when I get out of it. Holes in the old muffler allowed exaust to creep into the car, when the windows were open, due to the rust in the lower corners of my1/4's , I have made a lot of progress.. (comparing to the first 7 1/2 years of ownership).. in the the last year and 1/2. New Carb, New Dist, new starter, flexplate, Ignition switch, Alternator, voltage reg, Battery, Stereo, I just went cruising Sat night , just driving aimlessly.. No worries about , breaking down, not starting, getting gassed.. Next stop patch panels, quarters, one spot in the floor by the dimmer switch, and one spot on the trunk floor. then I will turn to the roof, get it repainted to halt further rust. then I will start making it look good again! Ah Spring, a time of rebirth, nature comes to life, Old Hot Rods get one step better , Dreams take another step forward!!
