    Purchased my First maverick about 2 months ago. Big fan of 6 cyl engines personally (voted for larger 6 on 1970grabber's poll). Thinking about doing the pertronix mod, front dums to disc's conversion, and switching out the heads.

    welcome. good luck with your mav. i've always been partial to v8's but i can see why u'd like the v6.

    Manda, JFYI, the 6 cylinder in a Mav is not a V6, it's either an inline 170ci, 200ci, or 250ci All straight or Inline 6, no V6's in the Mavs. the "V" in V6 , V8 or even a v10 means the cylinders banks sit at an agle to each other In the case of the small block Fords (302's) the cylinders are at 90 degs. Not trying to talk down just stating some facts. Russ
