didnt do too bad. had a blast ran 14.46 in the 1/4 on 9.50x15 drag radials
the first run was my best run I left well after green hit stumbling off the line but didnt spin a tire and shifted at about 6200 out of first shifted early around 5500 from second and still managed to beat the two mavericks that were out there. especially the one I was most worried about curb hoppers maverick :racingflag::ratrod:
second and third run it just kept getting worse so I called it a night lol

second run I guess I was still jacked up from the first round and my nerves got to me and I jumped and ran a 14.75 thanks to me stepping on the brake as soon as I realized I jumped then as soon as I realized I hit the brake I decided to just go for it lol

and the third pass was almost a hot lap the line was moving very fast and kept getting shorter after ever pass so by now I might as well have been a nervous wreck by now I left on the end the third yellow with a little bit of a launch so I just KNEW this was going to be a faster lap than the first then it was time to shift out of first and I went all the way past second and drive and hit neutral UGH! I tried throwing it back in drive to try to recover but couldnt seem to for whatever reason so I halfway coasted to the end of the track and the car was back in drive I just didnt realize it so that last pass was a bust at 26 something so I called it a night and parked the car and watched the last few cars make there runs

over all Im happy for the firs time out not spinning a tire not breaking anything and especially for not crashing

curb hoppers maverick ran 15.1 so a very consistent runner already
and the other maverick ran a 15.2 so very close times between curb hopper and the other maverick

Im going to try my luck again next wednesday night to see if I can get closer to 13.5:drive:

Great to hear you made it to the track. People don't realize how much is really going on at the starting line and down track. Open headers and Burnin Rubber, I make every excuse to go drag racing and goa tenth faster than last time.

Post your time slips, 60 ft., 330ft etc.... Don't forget mph's. Sounds like it hooked off the line and bogged. Glad to hear you had a good time. The track is always fun, well unless it goes bang.

haha bang would be very upsetting since this motor is newly built
Ill try to remember to post pics of my time slips next time I go out hopefully wednesday night.
I have a few things to fix before i go back out. like I have to be able to roll my windows up lol I went late so I didnt take the time to screw on teh window winders. and before I went out there I completely emptied my car of anything and everything that wasnt bolted or screwed down.
and since my battery is in the trunk I have to close off the trunk behind the seat install a cut off switch and put in a vent somewhere (I have to look around here to see how thats supposed to be. blocking off the seat and installing a cut off switch will be easy. Im sure the vent will be as well but I dont know what they want exactly.
I was just glad they let me play :D

Looks like you have a Taylor box, tech just wants you to vent the battery somewhere out of the car. Your box should have came with a hose that attaches to the box. I believe the optima battery's don't need a vent.

I just have the battery in a custom metal tray thats bolted to the floor and theres a battery hold down attached to that with an optima battery but he said it needs to be in a enclosed box with a vent

I mis spoke on the optima. Per the rule book it needs to be vented. There shall be a metal partition between the battery and the interior (in your case an enclosed box), you don't need to close off the truck with a partition. In addition to the cut off switch. Where did you go? Sac?

Nothing like seat time to cure all those issues, just keep racing!
