    Best O Luck!

Three words of advice: PREPARE, PREPARE, PREPARE.

Let us know the numbers, please. I have feeling they're gonna be very respectable.

We went for the test & tune tonight. Ray did awesome.....Was running in the 12's all night long. I made a few runs myself running in the mid 14's. Of course he has alot more mods to his 302 than I do. I'm happy running in the 14's for now. Someday I'll get the bug to go faster & make some more mods. Right now I'm saving for a paint job. I like going to local car shows & drag racing once in awhile. Way to go Ray! Keep up the good work. Now you need to save your money for that button for your nitous. You did very well on all motor. Hope you post some pictures.

    WOOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!
    I'm hooked guys and gals.
    12.22 on $70.00 street tires!
The nitrous seemed to be having some sort of problem so I gave up on it and just concentrated on doing what the car wanted.
Got 9 passes in yesterday and went from a 16. something to a best of 12.22 @111.36
Best 60 foot was that run with a 1.804.
Hankook tires work pretty dang good!

    WTG guys! Sounds like fun.

Don't you guys worry about spending more money on getting your cars to go any faster. You'll never want THAT to happen. ;)

btw, pretty good 60' times for street tires.

Well Rick, I'm kind of glad I don't have any slicks and my nitrous is on the fritz. If it were'nt I'd be in the elevens pretty dang easily and then I have to put a cage it the thing. Not sure if I want to do that.
I'll go through and see what kind of pics my buddy got tonight and post them.
Oh one more thing. I became A LOT more interested in a disc brake swap at the big end of the track yesterday. I put new brakes on my car before I went down at the beginning of the month and they are just not adequate.

    What's up?

Okay Ray.....Go ahead & rub it in. Show everyone the timeslip with your best time, cause it was me you were racing against. Now everyone knows how slow I was that night.....LOL Or were you just afraid I might beat you? I did have a better reaction time, which means you seen me leaving. How did my tailights look off the starting line? Did I scare ya a bit? LOL That was my best run all night also. We must like the competition (Maverick vs Comet). We'll have to do it again, it was a blast.

    hehe.
I think I panicked when I saw your tail lights and instinctively hit the gas Coop.
These pictures turned out terrible. Sorry but I don't have any good enough to post.
    I need a new camera.

Ray, I have a couple of questions. Exactly what kind of rear tires do you have?
Also I looked around a little but cant find a post with your current engine/trans /axle combination.

    M.A.V.-
On the rear I have 275/60r15 Hankook H101 tires. kind of a house brand at my work.
    My engine is a .060 over 302 (310.7in) 11:1 with Edelbrock Performer RPM 2.02 1.6 valves.
The camshaft is a big ol' Crane mechanical unit the specs of which can be found somewhere in the thread about my interior. I think it was titled "finally"
I have a c4 trans by GER Performance as well as their 3200 10" converter.
The rear is 4.11:1 with a mini spool. Slapper bars with a bit of creative adjustment and the sub frames connectors I made.
I was running 36 degrees total timing on 92 octane pump gas.
Burnouts DO help traction with radial tires folks. at least these ones.
Hankook tires can be had at any Tire Factory and probably a pile of other tire stores.
These ones are under $80.00 each retail.
