swaping in a t5 in my 1972 maverick i am looking for a transmission crossmember i found one from mustangs unlimited for a 1970-73 mustang. http://www.mustangsplus.com/xcart/1967-73-T-5-Transmission-Crossmember.html any help would greatley be appreciated.
that wont fit. You will have to modify yours, Search for T5 swap info and see how others have done it. Or build a new one from scratch. I think Frank 71gold makes crossmembers that can be adpted to a t5 also. You will also have to notch the brace that goes along the top of the trans tunnel side to side to the trans mount area. the T5 will hit that and you wont be able to get the trans high enough.
Unfortunately our cars are not high demand muscle cars so there's not that many aftermarket parts for them. Unlike mustangs and camaros where you can buy every single part for them from a catalog.
I am seeing that. Oh well what ever so called muscle car wants to pull up next to me thinking I'm in my grany cruiser is going to be in for a rude awakening. burnout:
