Anybody able to run down a Ford part number? My son bought a flexplate today, supposed to be 164t 28oz, looks like 164t 50oz to me. Anyway, the Ford part number is EOAZ-6375A

You can generally tell by the weight .... a 28oz is about 4 inches or so ... a 50oz is about 6 .... Since it is a 1980 part number it is probably a 50oz ... isn't that when ford switched over?

that part number you gave translates to a Pioneer FRA-205 which is listed as 28 oz 164 tooth....maybe someone stuck it in the wrong box or something

That's whats on the box it came in, Pioneer num and the Ford num. I can't figure this out. Measured the weight on the new flexplate, the one that came off of the 255 out of the 81 T bird, and the one on my motor, 302 that came out of the 84 T Bird. All three of them are the same, about 4 inches long. I would have thought the 84 302 would have been a 50 oz. All three are 164 tooth. If that is the case that all these are 28 oz, then I won't have a hard time finding a 157 28 oz for my motor if the 164 dosen't fit my c4. Got to try it when I get over this kidney stone deal to find out for sure which I will need for mine. Anyway, my son went ahead and bolted it to his 289 and hooked up the AOD and set it in his truck this afternoon, so I hope it's the right one....

the tricky one is the 157 tooth 50oz , not available as a stock replacement from your local auto parts store, but they do have them at Mustangs Plus....

Yeah, I know. Thats what I figured I would have to have for my 84 motor. But according to what I've learned from this post, it's a 28 oz.
