I just got my new floor pans from the salvage yard and was wondering if there was another way to take them off the frame other than grinding off the spot welds. I got lucky on these pans, not a rust spot on them and the windshield was even out. Not many Mavericks in salvage yards around here. Makes it tough finding parts. Going to try and get these in this weekend if possible. Thanks

Now that is a rare find indeed. I would love to be able to do the same thing to mine the rear right floor panel is really bad I pulled up the carpeting there the other day placed a flashlight under the car beneath the pan to see if I could see the light inside the car under the carpet and much to my grief I did :(. I need to replace that floor pan the drivers side has some rust holes but I filled those in with epoxy and it's fine for now. As far as grinding out the spot welds I diunno gotta be careful there, I would just cut out the bad metal with a cutting torch or wheel (mine is so brittle I can probably knock it out with a tire iron.

tomm's73, cool about the floor pan find. i think with the windshield out the car could dry out after each rain. i found a perfect dash pad in a car without a windshield. maybe it didn't build heat up on the pad to dry it out.( made the job of removing it a snap)...frank..
