    Hi,
    I have a 72 mav with a 250 six and c4.
How many teeth are on the flywheel, and will this bell bolt to a small-block?
    Thanks.
    Al

the 250 bell housing will bolt to a small block ford V-8.the flywheel/flex plate(if its an automatic) the tooth count is 158...What you need to consider is if ths is going on an 84 or later 302 the balance is different 28 Oz on pre 84, 58 Oz on post 84.So be sure to use the proper balance flywheel/flex plate for your engine.

    Just a heads up...
It doesn't sound like you intend to use the flexplate off the 250.
However, if you are thinking this way, don't.
If you already knew this, then disregard.

the bell will bolt to a 289/302/351W/C and youll need a 157 tooth flexplate. depending on the year it either need a 28oz or 50oz balence. the wheel on there now is a 157 0oz balence wheel which is only good for the 250

Thanks for the info. I wasn't sure if it was a 157, that way I know the size bell, which is perfect. 72 CLEAVELAND is goin in! of course I have to change some of the tranny componets to V8 ones. Also will be installing Mustang II suspension and getting rid of the shock towers! Yippee!
    Regards.

    Al, sounds like a plan!
We love project pics around here, so don't forget us.:yup:

You probably already know, but I'll throw it out there...
    All 351s use a 28 oz flexplate.
So any 1970s 157t 302 flexplate will work with your bell and a 351.
