I have a 1976 Comet which is receiving a 302 from a 1982 LTD. The engine has a Ford FMX transmission, and I have no clue which driveshaft to use.

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers!

puting a fmx trans into a mav is a very rare thing. i really doubt anybody had done it. you will probly have to have a drive shaft made for it. you will need to get the trans into the car and measure the distance from the diff yoke to the out put shaft then contact a driveshaft builder and have one made.

I tried it years ago and the tranny was bigger around than the c4 causing clearance problems. I gave up and went back to my c4
