    you do not want to drive a spool on the street it will tear up tires and then break an axle

    And very dangerous, car can swap ends without notice, especially when wet.

    Agreed. Even my locker is a handful in the rain. You have to know the car and know what a locker is to drive it in the wet. I dont have an issue with it but I know how to drive it. I wouldnt want my wife to drive it in the wet. Limited slip is a bit more streetable but can still put you sideways in a hurry. The limited slip is nice and quiet and wont damage anything on the street. My locker works very well but they are noisy on slow turns. Doesnt bother me but you do get some funny looks. Especially when parking.:huh::)

    a new posi is around $450-$475. we charge $160 to install a posi in a 9". that includes cleaning it and inspecting the bearings and gear set. you can find used traclocs for around $150 but i would recomned geting it rebuilt with a new clucth pac. that could cost up to $200, at that point your close to the cost of a new posi.

    and i also know that posi has become common slang for limited slip differentals as a hole and will continue to refer to them as what ever i please.

    I would say no because you dont know how it was set up some people think they can set up gears but they can't some people can so you could be paying for a worthless rear that is no more then a core case .you need to contact terry todd he has built many rears and is one of the best in the nation he may have a nice used set he would sell you the hole chunk ready to install for around 500.00 plus shipping add up what you were going to have in yours and he stands behind his if it don't work
    let me know
