found a comet...

    i found a 73 mercury comet gt, 302 and auto tranny for $1000. he says cars starts but dies ones its in gear. that i dont mind.

    but, can the grill and tail light be swapped for a maverick?

    Okay, found out it can be swapped. Parts needed: bumper, grill, latch and hood. Is that all? I read quarter panels are the same.

    The mav is gone but i'm still here!
    To swap out the taillights you would have to swap out the whole tail panel....

    And most of us like the comet taillights better :D

    But yeah you can swap out the whole front clip if you want...

    Then you'd have what is known as a "Comick" or "Mavet".

    the GT is a pretty rare model though, So most like to keep it stock-ish.

    But go wild if you want (y)

    Would be a rarer car if it stayed as a GT. :)
