As a lot of you know,I built a repo of my original '71Grabber I owned in '72 to about '75 (The pic on the right is dated '73) I had my Mav at a big show in our town this weekend and a guy walked up (not knowing who I was) and said" I bought a black Grabber in '75 from a Ford dealer that was an exact twin to your car and was built by Jack."...(said my full name and where I lived at the time I had it!) I was so blown away,I didn't know what to say...until I finally comprehended what he said and stood up and told him who I was! He had my original Grabber until about '83,changed the cam to full roller and put a tunnel ram on it and said how good that thing hooked up,(it really did) it had 5.14s in it when I sold it(traded in at dealer) he raced it for a few years, sold it,it passed hands 2 more times and in about '87 or '88 he said a guy was redoing the car and his shop burnt to the ground and the car was destroyed. So at least I know what happened to it,we talked for a long time and thanked him for stopping by and telling me all the stories, parked next to me was my Ford Dealer buddy with his '70 Shelby Mustang,The same dealer I traded my Mav in at in '75...small world.

Yes, very small world! Great story.
I have a 71 green grabber I bought in 74 which I still own. It's awaiting a major restoration right now. I have some pics of it posted on facebook. I had a lady contact me though facebook about 2 weeks ago and ask me if I still had her baby. Wow! That made my day. I was able to get some answers about the car I've been wanting to know for a long time. Turns out I am the second owner and it was bought new from a dealership 20 miles from my house. She's going to make me some copies of some of her wedding that have the car in them. I need to contact her again in a few days to make sure she doesn't forget them. It's great talking to previous owners!

    Good story, Jack. :thumbs2:

I had a Duster back in the 70's that I sold but would have perferred to have kept. Years later I had a local officer run the vin and it came back that it wasn't registered anywhere in the US. I guess I'll never know where it went.
