Hey... I have had a long time to consider rims and tires. My 75 always looked like it needed a taller tire. My 72 has the same tires and looks like it doesn't need more. Anyway, they have 245/60/14s out back, mounted to stock 6" rims with 3.5" BS. Roughly 25.7" tall and 8" wide. The front is easy. Narrow with height to match. 205/70/14s right now. I have toyed with the following: 255/60/15 (thinking a little too tall now 27", perfect width 9") 275/60/15 (looks okay on some Mavs, but not on others... BS must be perfect) 275/50/15 (good height, worried about width proportions. I must say that this looks awesome on the ones I have seen! BS must be perfect...) Too the point: I was in Sams and noticed an odd size available. 265/50/15 Not much difference between the 275 I know, however if things get tight clearance wise, it could help. The height is what I have now. The width is great. I also plan on using no wider than 7" rims. The narrower tire will be a good match. 275s should really have 8" rims. I will use 4" BS, so the rim will sit in .5" more than what I have now and .5" out more. The tire is 9.5" wide, so .75 more tire in, .75 more out. Perfect! Anyway, done rambling.
