I found some blue bucket seats in a 1975 Mustang at the local u-pull-it yard today. I couldn't pass them up for $30 each. They are in decent shape. Bottom of the driver's seat has some tears, but the passenger's seat is good. The locking mechanism that lets you lean the seat forward functions well. They are blue and match my interior so I was thinking about putting them in the Maverick. Has anyone on here mounted this style seat in a Maverick before? They probably aren't as desirable as a high-back seat but the price was right. If I can't use them I can always sell them. I'll get some pics up when I get them in the light.
i got some from a 74 mustang at pull a part 3-4 months ago they are a very comfortable seat to sit in i havent got around to seeing how they fit but im guessing better than the escort seats i have in...
I figured I'd need tracks. Someone had swiped the tracks off the driver's seat anyway. I don't have a set of Maverick tracks, but I figure I can pick some up or fab something. I was also looking at Focuses (Focii? ) to get some parts for my wife's car. There was a Ford Focus Mach Edition there that had some nice seats. They would need recovered if I wanted to use them in the Maverick, but I suppose I could upgrade my wife's car... I've got to see how the trans issues work out though. It's not shifting right so I'm swapping the shift solenoids. This is what they look like.
Here's a link to some pics I just took of the seats. https://picasaweb.google.com/109640042090142348575/BucketSeats#
