found two grabbers side by side!

    hi guys i just got bored and decided to take a ride to a body shop /junkyard
    i got to talken to the guy and asked him if he had eny comets.he looked at me and lafed.and sead come er i wana show ya supen!in the typical maine accent. we walked out back of his shop and there were two gabbers! one red and one yellow. well i asked if he would sell em and he sead i could pick them up this summer for 1000 apice! well its a realy steap price so ill talk him doun this summer,both have rust in all the spots, but the int are perfect!with high back buckets in one! the 302s are gone but the mounts are still there.im gona whate over the winter to see what they realy look like and what i can get off of em this summer. i know you guys get interested in these storys and i am so exsited
    that i just had to shar. (y)
    p.s. sorry guys i wont be getting parts off um tell this summer so please dont ask. thanks

    Are these 71-72 Grabbers with the hood scoops?

    the weard part is one has a stock hood with the grabber decal and the other has the scoops but there both 71-73 years i couldent get a look at the rears of the cars but the may be good parts cars. ill find out more this summer.its a bit of a drive.buy the way ill
    hook people up this summer with parts i dont need.

    69 1/2, 70 Maverick and 71 Grabber
    71-72 are the only years that came with the scooped Grabber hoods. A 70 would have a small bumper and a flat hood while a 73 would have a medium bumper and a flat hood.

    That's why I've never really gave him a hard time. At least he trys and I can pretty much tell what he's saying. Now there was that one kid who didn't try, and told me he didn't give a crap and wasn't even going to try! At least I think that's what he said. :biglaugh:

    Nice find cometkurt... The one with the Grabber decal on the standard hood is likely a 73 and up car. Only '71 and '72 had the hood scoops. $1000 a piece does seem mighty steep if they are badly rusted and missing engines. Keep us updated.

    ha this turned from mavs to my spelling.THANKS! what kind of name is hotrodbob enyway, ha ha ha ha ha! i spelled somethings on purpuse for the "maine ackcent" so you could get the "feel of the story" for exsample the word "supen"is suppose to mean "something" thats how we talk up hear.

    My kidz gave me the name cause of my carz and work stuff. I can't spell worth a darn either.:slap: If it was not for spell check I'd be in trouble. I'm gettin better and by the time I'm 100 I sould be pretty good at this.:rofl2:
