Fox body Mustang seats.

Anyone know much about the fox body Recaro style seats? I have a pair the have the knob on the side that adjust the width, and the manual pull out bolster in the front..They came with the Halo head rests, but I don't think they are what they came with. I'm just trying to figure out what these came from. Maybe 86 Mustang GT?

I have the same basic seat but mine doesn't have the halo, they have the more solid head rest. Mine are 1989 GT seats.

Thanks, those don't really look anything like mine, so I can rule those out. I think what I have are either 84 GT or SVO seats..

 

I thought the 86 svo mustang had the halo head rest... the regular gt had the solid head rest...

 

Didn't Thunderbird Turbo Coupe's get the halo head rest as well?

I had an 86 GT and it had the adjustable side bolsters and the hard/pliable type halo headrests. I think 85s would be the same and the 84-86 SVOs.

 

I have a set of 88 Turbo Coupe seats that have the solid headrest and bolster adjustments and 89 Escort GT seats that have the halo but no bolster adjustments. The headrests might be interchangeable but I would bet you have SVO seats.

 

The seats we are putting in my car right now also have the knob on the side for adjusting and the manual pull out bolster. They have the regular head rests and not the halo type. Mine are from a 1990 Mustang GT.

 

I had an 84 gt turbo mustang that had the exact seats you have im pretty sure they used those until 86
