    ...Asphalt.

They're repaving the parking lot at work. Yesterday they had us all parking on one side of the lot so they could pave the other, and this afternoon when I come back from my lunch break, I find we're now being directed to park on the fresh pavement. No lines of course. I don't expect that to be a problem although people never cease to surprise me...

What I am a little concerned about though, is the fact that they just laid this stuff down, it's still hot, and there's no sealer on it. I'm almost positive I'm going to come out to find road tar all over my rockers, fenders and quarters.

So, in a pre-freakout freaking out, I ask the question: What can I use to take off gobs of road tar without hurting my paint?

    Thanks

I have used both WD 40 and vaseline. Gas also works, but is too expensive!

    Park somewhere else. lol

I'd park as close as you could to the exit/entrance if thats possible.

the Bug & Tar stuff works great, just make sure you rinse it off very well, I've seen it eat paint off before

Once the asphalt is put down and rolled there shouldn't be a big tar issue. It is possible to track some residue into the house or car carpet with your shoes.

Park somewhere else, he says... If only.

Thanks for the tips, hopefully it won't be that bad. Tomorrow I'll bring my wife's car. It's white. :evilsmile
