front bumper

    Have any of ya'll moved the front bumper back? I just did mine....moved it rearward about 4" or so. I already had custom lightweight brackets holding it to the frame (no shock absorber mounts and totally gutted bumper) so it was a piece of cake. I did have to trim the filler piece though, trimmed about 4" off of it and re-attatched it to the bumper.

    I must say, for a big bumper car, I like the look! It's kind of one of those things where if you don't know what you're looking for, you won't notice it....very subtle.

    Its been done & documented before. Radmav also sectioned his to bring the sides in closer. Definately makes a difference.

    Yep! Looks like my 73 Comet. I sucked it in, about the same as you did. Does look a whole lot better IMO.....

    Maybe its just to far in. I think that 3 inches would look a little better. Because of the fender tappering as it goes down, the bumper needs to be sectioned to tuck the side of the bumper in also.
