I would completely go thru the front suspension while you're at it too, new ball joints, upper and lower arms, tie rod ends, new spring pads, etc. Unless this has all been done already. No use in increasing the stopping power, only to combine it with worn out suspension parts.

There are several venders for suspension rebuild kits, but unfortunately I don't know their names right off hand.(someone else can chime in here) The easiest way to do it is to replace the upper arms with new ones as they're sold complete with new joints and bushings, just bolt emn on and go. Ditto for the lower arms. These arms weaken with age so it's better to replace with new ones. You'll pay a little more, but this way is a whole lot easier than trying to replace just the ball joints and bushings in old arms.

    ...:yup:...
Also trying to remove the UCA shaft 9 times out of 10 you will wipe the threads and end up buying a new UCA anyway

X 2 you will never regret the extra money spent to rebuild the front suspension, when I lost the tread off of my tire at 65 MPH I was glad mine had been gone through and rebuilt, yeah I messed up some small things but I did maintain control of the car and got it stopped.
