I am going to be buying a 6 cyl. Comet. I have a wrecked Maverick with a good 302 and rebuilt tranny. Will the Comet front end hold up the 302 or will it need to be beefed up? How hard is it to the front end off the Maverick onto the Comet? Last year I had the front end rebuilt on my Maverick. Thank you Judy

The front ends are identical. You can transfer all the parts from the Maverick, to the Comet.

My husband kept telling that it would not work. It has been terrible not driving my Maverick. Got to get this going. Thanks Judy

    here both identical then

the only diffrence is v8 cars have a crossmember between the shock towers that sits under the engine. but that just unbolts and bolts right into the other car. the v8 car may have had stiffer springs but thats no biggie.

i think your husband is just trying to stay out of another project ;)
