Front gravel pan/valance-whatever...is it galvanized?

Stripped mine to the bare metal, just wondering if there is any special prep, I know the cowl vent is, and the paint there is coming off.

 

Just prep it like you would any other body panel.

 

Neither my valance nor my gravel shield were galvanized.

 

Valance is not. The cowl, rockers and outer front frame rails are the only areas galvanized as far as I can tell.

 

My valence was. I just stripped mine last week and was suprised to see it.

 

What do I need to do to prep the galvanized areas?

 

Nothing special. Sand and and prime.
