Front Speakers

    I'm getting close to putting a stereo and speakers in my car and I was wondering where would be a good spot for the front speakers ?

    pull off your front kick panels and there should be a spot where you could mount one. im not totally sure about other years but my 73 had them

    it's a pita, but you can reach it without removing the dash...
    a 5x7" dual voice coil speaker (custom autosound carries one) is generally considered a good choice for that location. i have one in my mustang, and even in a convertibe, it is of good quality.

    Ok I just went outside to see if I could see the speaker you were talking about and the speaker that looks to at one point be in the dash is laying in my back seat and i couldnt see where it could mount at ???

    My 72 has speaker holes in the kick panels also. I would think 2 i the kick panels and two in the rear window would sound pretty good. That is what I plan on doing.

    I took two 3'' speakers and made a bracket for the front factory location under the dash. sounds pretty good.

    make a center section for some gauges and the side for some speckers

    Honestly, I wouldn't go over a 6-1/2 speaker.

    Do you have buckets or bench altough it probaly don't maker witch but you could try under your seat.
