    Low 10's

The plan is 408w, aluminum heads, nitrous.

No interior, as much fiberglass body as possible, lexan windows.

Next year i wanna start on the front suspension that why im asking, i dont wanna start buying parts and then decide not to use it like it happened with the interior.

I installed a complete AJE kit over the winter, built a new 427, going 9.50's @ 141. LOVE the way it drives now!
Wish I had done it years ago. Do it! You won't be sorry.

Agreed. Mine is done, just haven't tested yet. I've been too busy with family life and racing the Cougar. Can't buy time, the 412 engine is done and has been ready to go in for the last 3 months.

What headers did you go with? I am running the Hooker Super Comps 2" pri. and 3.5" collector that I modified on the driver side. What struts are you running?

Hey Ray, good to hear from you! A buddy of mine had a set of used Stahl headers for a Fox Body. 2" primaries and 3.5 collectors. Had them tweaked by a fab guy and they worked out nice. Both sides go in from the top with no problem. Same struts you have, KYB adjustable. Installed Calvert rear shocks. Big difference. No large wheelstands, just hook and go!
Hector, set up is a Dart block based 427, AFR heads, C-4 trans, 9" rear with a 4.22 gear. 10.5 Hoosier slick. Those 9.50's were in mid to high 90's temps. Should do better when the weather decides to cool off.

My headers are the same way, just drop them in from the top. Had to change the converter and trans last week in the Cougar for the Yellow Bullet race, had to turn the trans sideways to get past the headers. What a pain, can't wait until that car gets the AJE kit. Hopefully I can have the Maverick ready for MIR in October.

Yeah, looking forward to that. When I got my mess all together, bad oil leak at the rear of the engine. Had to pull the tranny. Came right down between the headers! Oil galley plug wasn't tight.

The kit is the Colt-65 kit for the early Mustangs. K member is a bolt in, had to relocate the top of the struts slightly. Call AJE at 1 800 877 7233 and talk to James. He will answer all your questions. I used the KYB adjustable struts and the 87-93 Fox spindle. 125 lb springs on the struts and adjustable lower control arms.

Did the aje kit change the distance from wheel to wheel in the front or is it identical to original?

I didn't take an exact measurement, but is a little wider.......no more than 1.50 or 1.75 inches overall. Not sure if the difference is in the suspension kit or the brakes. I have Wilwood drag brakes. All in all I think it gives the car a better look and stance. JMO.
